How did you hear about us?

“If you’re a bride in Columbus, you just know about Wendy’s Bridal.”

I’ve heard that quite a lot recently from our brides. As a small Ohio business, we don’t do a lot of media advertising, so we’re always curious to know how our brides hear about us. It just goes to show how powerful word of mouth is, right?

We love seeing our brides on their wedding day 💕 Congratulations Matt and Kirsten!

So, sure—you’ve heard of us through the grapevine somewhere. But, have you heard how we got started?

Well, it all began in the 1970s. In a jewelry store.

Our owner was co-running his jewelry store with his brother in a shopping mall—which was a taboo location all those decades ago—when he realized that jewelry wasn’t scratching his entrepreneurial itch. He wanted to feel like his business, whatever it was, was making a difference.

So, in 1973, he and his wife Wendy opened the doors to Wendy’s Bridal. With business hours only on the weekends, Wendy would work personally with their brides, helping them find off-the-rack dresses for their wedding. It was an immediate success.

Over the years, the business grew, and the couple began to spread Wendy’s across the United States. And Wendy’s Bridal broke ground in our industry as one of the very first bridal chains in the United States.

So, four decades later, we’re still helping brides find their perfect dress. Our owner is living his dream—because his business is truly making a difference.

And since opening our doors, we’ve changed a few things:

  • We are open five days a week! Monday-Thursday 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM, Friday and Saturday 10:00 AM – 6:00PM, and Sunday 12:00PM – 5:00PM.
  • We operate by appointment, and accept walk-ins as time allows
  • We have specialized bridal stylists to help you find your perfect dress, and bridesmaid stylists for your maids’ gowns
  • Most of our staff has been with Wendy’s for five or more years. Many of us have been helping brides for almost a decade—or more!

So, take a second and think: how did you first hear about us? And tell us next time you’re in.
